Vertical Laminar Air Flow Unit is a cabinet fitted with a HEPA filtered airflow system that provides a unidirectional flow of air with minimal turbulence. The airflow velocity ranges between 0.3 m/s to 0.5 m/s, creating a particle-free working environment. These units are designed for product protection from contamination and are widely used in laboratories and pharmaceutical environments.

Working Principle & Construction

In Vertical Laminar Air Flow, room air passes through a HEPA filter mounted at the back and flows vertically towards the user, ensuring a sterile workspace. The system uses high-efficiency pre-filters (95% efficiency up to 5 microns) and HEPA filters (99.999% efficiency up to 0.3 microns). The blower system includes a ¼ HP motor with aluminum impellers for efficient airflow.

The working area is ergonomically designed with a stainless steel workbench, sliding acrylic front sash, fluorescent lighting, and optional UV lamp. Additional features include LCD display, air/gas cock, and electrical outlets.
