Horizontal Laminar Air Flow Unit is a HEPA filtered workstation designed to provide a unidirectional airflow from back to front. It creates a particle-free and bacteria-free working environment for sensitive laboratory and pharmaceutical applications. These units provide product protection from contamination.

Working Principle & Construction

In HLAF, room air enters through a HEPA filter mounted at the back of the cabinet and flows horizontally towards the user, creating a sterile workspace. The system uses high-quality pre-filters (95% efficiency up to 5 microns) and HEPA filters (99.999% efficiency up to 0.3 microns). The blower system includes a ¼ HP motor with aluminum impellers ensuring consistent airflow.

The workbench is made of stainless steel for durability and easy cleaning. Standard fittings include air/gas cock, electrical outlets, fluorescent lighting, UV lamp option, LCD display, and acrylic sliding front sash. The system is designed for low noise and high efficiency performance.
